Celebrate 40 Years with the Museum

UNLOCK THE DOOR TO UNCOMPROMISED TRUTHS

Our 40th Anniversary Celebration took place on Dec. 09, 2023. Thank you!

Thank you to all who attended! This event included live entertainment, food, drinks, and an awards presentation for some deserving supporters of the Museum. In attendance were museum patrons, donors, local business owners, community leaders, and local and state officials.

The event's purpose celebrated the Museum’s long history of preserving and unapologetically telling the stories of African Americans. The Museum has become a mainstay in the Oliver Community of Baltimore City and a national treasure thousands of people visit yearly.

As the Museum continues its expansion plans, the 40th Anniversary is a time for us to reflect on our past and take stock of the present to guide our future. There is no better time than now to be proud, grateful, and forward-looking!
